To define and manage credit limits that we offer to our customers, analysis of the available information is one of the fundamental pillars in which we rely; inaccurate or outdated data can lead us to make very risky decisions.
We must have both quantitative (financial statements, prior business experience, etc.) and qualitative (partners, customers, suppliers, banking relationships, etc) information.. Sometimes it will be very easy to obtain this information, especially if the company that requests us credit collaborates, but others it will be more complicated (hospitalization risk, or it they don’t publish their accounts, or they are opaque for whatever reason).
In Arccos we collaborate in many different ways in obtaining this information:
We also develop detailed studies of the customer base from all points of view related to the commercial risk (Pareto, PMC, markets, risk tranches, outstanding amounts, etc.) depending on the specific needs of a client.
Finally, we participate in risk committees and boards of directors advising both ordinary credit limits, as in the approach of possible strategies for action in certain complex situations.
